Draft for lawyer review.
This page is a plain-language placeholder, not final legal terms. It will change before public launch.
Acceptable use policy
SlashClone is a shared library that people install into their agents. These rules keep it safe to install from. Breaking them can get content removed, a handle reclaimed, or an account banned.
Kits must not
- Steal credentials, read files outside what they declare, or send data to undeclared places.
- Hide what they do: obfuscated code, encoded commands, or instructions that tell an agent to ignore the user, hide actions, or skip confirmations.
- Contain secrets, malware, or anything that damages the machine they run on.
- Copy other people's work without a license that allows it.
- Collect personal data about people without their knowledge.
- Help with anything illegal, or with harassment, spam, or fraud.
A confirmed malicious kit is pulled, everyone who installed it is told, and its author is banned.
Accounts must not
- Impersonate a person, company, project, or SlashClone staff.
- Game likes, installs, or search with fake accounts or automation.
- Flood the service with publishes, reports, or requests.
- Probe for security holes outside the rules on the security page.
Handles and names
Handles are first come, first served, with these limits:
- Reserved handles. Names of our own pages and features, roles like admin or support, and well-known AI vendors and developer platforms cannot be claimed.
- Impersonation. A handle or kit name that pretends to be someone else, or suggests an official link that does not exist, is removed or renamed, with or without a dispute.
- Squatting. Claiming handles or kit names to hold, sell, or block others is not allowed. A handle with no published kits and no sign-in for 6 months can be reassigned to someone with a legitimate claim after a name dispute. We contact the current holder first when we can.
- Trademarks. A trademark owner can ask for a matching handle through a name dispute. Active accounts using a name in good faith (for example, their own name) usually keep it.
- Deleted accounts. The handle of a deleted account is retired for good and never reassigned, so nobody can take over its kits or installs.
Reporting
Report a harmful kit with the report button on its page, or file a takedown request. Report a handle problem with a name dispute. Report a security issue in SlashClone itself on the security page.
