Draft for lawyer review.
Premium kit terms
The short version
- SlashClone sells each premium kit as the reseller. Your purchase, receipt, and refund are with SlashClone.
- The creator who made the kit is responsible for what it is and does, and for having the right to sell it.
- Subscribe to a creator for every premium kit of theirs, or buy one version of a kit on its own. You may use and change what you get for your own work, never resell or share its files.
- Creators keep 80% of each sale, paid after a hold of 14 days.
1. How a sale works
By listing a kit at a price, the creator gives SlashClone a license to sell copies of it and to grant buyers the rights below. The buyer pays SlashClone, which issues the receipt and handles refunds and chargebacks. Tips are gifts to the creator, not purchases, and SlashClone takes no fee on them.
2. What the buyer gets
A premium kit license (LicenseRef-SlashClone-Premium): you may install, use, and change the kit for your own work, including at your job. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish its files, changed or not. A clone of a premium kit stays private.
- A subscription to a creator opens every kit they mark as premium, their collections, and every update, for as long as it is active. Cancelling keeps access to the end of the month you paid for.
- Buying a kit on its own opens only the version you bought. Where the creator offers it, a monthly updates subscription opens every version while it is active.
3. The creator is responsible for the kit
By listing a premium kit, the creator promises that:
- they made it, or have every right needed to sell it, including rights to anything from others inside it;
- it does what its page says, and its declared permissions are complete and accurate;
- it contains no malware, hidden behavior, or secrets, and collects no one's data without saying so;
- it and its page break no law and follow the acceptable use policy.
The creator covers SlashClone's losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees from claims that come from the kit. SlashClone scans and reviews every premium kit as it does free ones; that review does not make SlashClone responsible for what the kit is or does.
4. SlashClone is responsible for the sale
Taking payment, the receipt, delivering access, refunds and chargebacks, and sales tax or VAT where the law makes SlashClone the seller. Card, bank, and identity details stay with Stripe and never reach us.
5. Payouts and the hold
Like eBay, the creator's share is held for 14 days after each sale or tip, then sent to their Stripe balance. A refund or chargeback during the hold comes out of the held amount; after it, SlashClone may take the transfer back or recover it from future earnings. SlashClone may pause payouts while a report or dispute is open. Creators are responsible for their own income taxes.
6. Refunds
A refund ends access to the kit. [Lawyer to set the refund window and the rights that cannot be waived, such as the EU withdrawal right for digital content.]
7. Copies
A public kit that reuses a paid kit's files is held for review before it publishes. Anyone can report a copy from a kit's page. Copies are taken down, and repeat offenders lose their account.
