- 1# Browser game starter
- 3Give it a one-line idea and get back a complete game in a single HTML file: game loop, keyboard and touch controls, score, best score, game over, and restart. It opens in any browser and plays on a phone, with no build step and no dependencies.
- 5**Who it is for:** game jammers, teachers, parents making something with their kids, and anyone who wants a playable prototype in minutes instead of an evening of boilerplate.
- 7## Example
- 9You say:
- 11> Make me a game where you catch stars and dodge meteors. Call it Star Catcher.
- 13You get `game/index.html`. Open it in a browser: yellow stars and red meteors fall, you slide left and right (arrows, A and D, or drag on a phone), stars score points, a meteor ends the run, and your best score is remembered. Claude also tells you which three numbers in `CONFIG` to change to make it easier or harder.
- 15Want to see a finished one first? The kit ships `examples/block-dodge.html`, a dodge-the-falling-blocks game with screen shake and particles.
- 17## What it can access
- 19- Runs its own script, `node scripts/new-game.mjs`, which copies the template into your project.
- 20- Reads and writes files in `game/` only.
- 21- No network, no env vars, no accounts.
- 23## Setup
- 25None. Needs Node.js 18 or newer to run the copy script.
