Use SlashClone in Claude

Find kits, use them in a chat, and keep the ones you like, wherever you use Claude. Pick yours.

Add the connector

The desktop app shares your claude.ai connectors. If you already added SlashClone on claude.ai, it is here too.

  1. Open Customize in the sidebar, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector. Name it SlashClone and paste this as the MCP server URL:
    https://mcp.slashclone.dev/mcp
  3. If it asks how Claude should identify itself, choose Register automatically. Leave the client ID and secret blank.
  4. Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to SlashClone (it opens in your browser) and approve.
  5. In a chat, click +, then Connectors, and make sure SlashClone is on.

Try it in a chat

  1. Ask Claude something like “Is there a SlashClone kit that tidies messy CSV files? Use it on this file.” Claude finds the kit, tells you what it is allowed to touch, and follows it right in the chat.
  2. Like it? Ask Claude to add it to your Claude. You get a download link that lasts 15 minutes, plus the steps below.
  1. On any kit page, click Download for Claude. You get a ZIP named after the kit.
  2. Open Customize, then Skills. Click +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and choose the ZIP.
  3. Turn the skill on. Skills need code execution, under Settings, Capabilities. Claude then uses the kit in any chat where it fits.

Not enforced

claude.ai and the Claude desktop app do not enforce the permissions this kit declares. Nothing stops the kit from doing more than it says; Claude's own approval settings decide what it asks you about. Claude Code is the one place where a kit's permissions are written as permission rules.

Install kits in the Code tab

The Code tab runs Claude Code on your computer, so kits install into a project with their permissions enforced.

  1. Open the Code tab and start a local session in your project folder.
  2. Add the SlashClone plugin marketplace:
    /plugin marketplace add <marketplace repo>
  3. Click + next to the prompt box, then Add plugins, and install SlashClone.
  4. Install a kit:
    /kit add @owner/kit

The plugin marketplace is not public yet

Until it is, add it from a copy of the SlashClone repository: /plugin marketplace add ./path/to/slashclone.
